After long wait for a few months. Finally I’ve move to my new flat in Eunos. . I have ask one of my friend to do the reno for my flat… well didn’t do very much but still spend about 15K to do up all the necessary stuff.

After moving in, I notice that there’s always a trail of stain to the rubbish chute. I follow it and it stop in front of a unit. That uncle have tattoo all over his body and he look like those gangster in the 50s. One day while waiting for lift I notice how devote he is to his so call god because he was adjusting a Buddha script in front of his door and was arguing with his wife weather it straight a not.

But one thing I don’t understand is, how can someone who is so devote to god so Inconsiderate?? :buns:
I suppose all he’s devotion is just his selfish hopping that the Buddha can bring him luck etc.. and not learning all the teaching. Well after all I guess he’s just wasting all his time and money doing all the praying.

To Make my story short here’s the snap shot of the stain I’m talking about.

In Today’s world. Domain names are being registered at such an enormous rate that it’s becoming more and more difficult to come up with good domain names that have not already been snapped up by somebody else or you are happy with. So if you are intending to start anything in the internet.
GET YOUR DOMAIN NAME BEFORE YOU START YOUR SITE OR BUSINESS.

Before you begin your Quest to obtain or register a domain name. Sit down and think what are you going to do with the Domain Name. Is it for Personal, Blog, Hobbies or Business?? the 1st very important consideration to make is how your potential visitors are supposed to find your site.

Take Down a Pen or Pencil write down all the name you want and all the name that you can think of that suit what you are doing on that piece of paper.

Before you write it down. Remember this Concept.

1. The Name should be easy to Remember and also as short as possible.
Most people will not bookmark your webpage the first time they visit. but Someday later if they want to see your site again. they might have a better chance to remember your site if it’s easy to remember. Ultimately, choose a name that people can remember quickly and effectively so that, when you advertise among a thousand of your competitors, your Domain Name stands out. and when people see a catchy domain name they want to check it out

2. Don’t Misspell the Domain Name.
If you are not sure how to spell, please go to Dictionary.com and check for spelling. If you wanted cartoon.com and register carton.com instead then your new domain name will become the next piece of junk. Nobody Will remember a misspell Word.

3. Avoid Short form.
Not everyone will remember what your short form means. and you will save the hassle to explain to people what those short form means.

4. Avoid Long Name as far as possible.
The Longer The Name the easier to forget and misspell. Most people will attempt to go to your site directly by guessing your domain name.

5. Avoid Hyphen.
Example. if you take Joke-Blog.com because JokeBlog.com is taken then you will be sending your traffic to JokeBlog.com . After some consideration I decided to use jokediary.com as it’s still available. Some site say that if you take children-toys.com it means 2 keyword to the search engine but nowadays search engine are very intelligent. The not only take your domain name. The will cache some of your page content. so Ultimately it’s the Title and the First few sentence that describe your site that’s very very important for search engine. so use it wisely.

6. Avoid numbers.
Example. if you take 4ever.com then you will be sending your traffic to forever.com. or come2me.com you will see your visitor visiting cometome.com.

7. Avoid Names that can easily Misspell.
Example.. cartoonnemo.com where there’s a double n. User may be confuse weather to type the double n or single n.

8. Use No More then Three Multiple Word Domain.
I think that any name that has above three words are hard to remember. If you want to use a two word domain like jokediary.com, then you may make it easier to remember and read if you upcase the first character of the first work example JokeDiary.com . This way people can remember easier.

9. Plurals, Domain Name with “i”,“e”,“The” and “My”
Very Often, if you really can get the domain name you want, You might think of why not I add my or the in front. Sure you can do that but remember if you do that you must promote your site together with the Plurals.

Once you have found a Domain Name that is available.
Don’t Rush - But Don’t wait…..it’s an important decision. Your domain name will represent you for years to come.
Sit Down and think. If you see the link once, will you remember hours later or maybe even tomorrow. Take for example JokeDiary.com, IcyFrost.com. If you see it. will you remember it tomorrow?? choose the simplest and shortest domain name you can.

If the dotcom name is not available, try the other new abbreviations such as .NET .BIZ .INFO.
These are not as popular as .COM, however you may get closer to the name you want.
If all of these are not available, I think you are still better of if you can have your own country TLD. I see no point in taking other country TLD as it’s not related to u at all.

If all of the chosen domain is not available.

The next choice I can think of is using a domain Name that is not related to what you are doing. You will still be better off to have a short, easily spell, easily remember domain name than a long hard to remember domain name that is related to you.
Example
Amazon.com , msn.com , yahoo.com, All these name has nothing to do with what they are doing but they have one common factor. That is they are very very EASY TO REMEMBER. Some people can remember amazon.com and yahoo.com weeks later. Simple name is the important Key of success.

Conclusion
1. Chose a Domain name as short as possible and should be easy to remember. Preferably Words that can be found in the dictionary.
2. Make Sure the Spelling of the Domain Name is Correct
3. Avoid Short Form
4. Avoid Long Name as far as possible.
5. Avoid Hyphen.
6. Avoid numbers.
7. Avoid Names that can easily Misspell.
8. Use No More then Three Multiple Word Domain.

After you have done all that. You can go to GoDaddy.com . They have a very good domain check to check for you if the domain you want is available and their price is good.

As usual time is always not enough. It’s always so much things to do and so little time. We have to to work 8 hrs a day + 1 hrs lunch + 1 hrs travel to and from work. It all add up to 10 hrs a day and we normally wake up at 8 and try to go bed at 11 pm - 12 am. That’s about 14 hours a day. Minus the 10 hrs. A average human only got 4 hrs free time at home per day per weekday. After 1-2 hrs of TV we only left with 2 hrs. OMG what can we do for the 2 hrs. Worse if you are doing OT. Basically there’s not enough time to do anything decent. After Checking some Email etc… it’s already time for bed. With the time I have I find it very very difficult to do any coding if there’s any. It always end up having less then half done and it sometime take many days to finish. Sigh……

Didn’t had a nice sleep last night as my son was having fever and block nose. Keep waking up every 1 hr or so…to pad him to sleep ……

When your kids are sick. We as parent suffer too. Worrying, Tired, Sleepy, Headache…. How nice would it be if there’s no illness in the world But I think that impossible.

Back to reality. When your child is sick I can’t help worrying… worry that the temperature might go up. What if brain damage if the temperature is too high…… There’s too much things to worry… Only will you stop worrying when he’s well and back to normal again. Will feel pain in your heart when he fall, bruise……

So Guys….. If you wan to have kids. Be very prepared mentally to have an never ending worrying. Maybe a few more winker here and there.

Sometime I use to think back how our parent got angry and upset because of some of the things we do when we are kids. I remember there was once, I can’t remember how long ago. I went to my cousin place in Bedok South. We was having fun. Playing catching etc…. Somehow I don’t know why. we start to sit on the Barrier outside of the flat. And he was staying at 13th storey. I can still push pull a bit when he’s not noticing just to scare him :D. The moment my aunt saw, she got so angry and shout at us to come down. My aunty got so angry that we kana cane… but the poorest is me as I got second round from my dad and grandma when I got home :cry:. Now as we grow older and more mature we sometimes think back how dangerous it is to sit on a barrier 13 storey high. How come we didn’t notice the danger we are in back then….. What if one of us just slip and fall?? Well I guess I won’t be here typing this blog… If my cousin fall I believe I will still be living with guilt till now, I may not even have a normal life. Have a wife, kids …… I believe my cousin will be the same if it’s the other way round. and know what?? There will be 2 less good man for 2 lucky Woman in the world.. hahaha

After parenting will you understand how a parent feel. U always want ( I don’t say the best for your child ) but at least all the things he need to be comfortable. Don’t have to be branded and of course not the lousiest. Last but not least my only wish is to see my kid grow up, can do well in schools/life, have a good wife and finally have a good life. Much better then what I have now…. I believe that this is in the Wish List of Every Parent.

Have Create a Blog and have yet to put in any content. Well I guess I have to start somewhere. Since I have some time now I might as well start now or the blog will never start hahahaha…..

The First time I hear/notice about Blog is when I saw on the newspaper. It mention a famous blogger name xiaxue, but I forgot the exact content in the paper…

After some time I start to notice that more and more blogger website popping out. Have read a few on my free time. There are actually some blogger that can write very well and it’s quite interesting to read. But there are some that are boring too. It actually remind me of the advertisement in the MRT that your life are in the movie and all the people watching that show are sleeping.. hahaha. Well I also come across some that actually treat it as a diary. The only difference is only now it’s in the internet for everyone to view instead of a book where you keep in your house for your private view only.

Was actually thinking how come some ppl can write so much about their live in the public internet. Don’t they ever worry of stalker esp. of gals etc…… erm… I guess they just need to be more careful with their words and just share the not so private stuff. So after much thinking I guess it’s still not that private after all….unless it’s password protected. I think it will be a great idea to have a password protected Blog that is just meant to be accessible to you alone, where you can just pour out all your sorrow or embarrassing stuff,anger, or you got a crush on someone but you didn’t wan anyone to know etc…. Something that you cannot tell anyone but you just need place to pour out so that you can feel better. That way it’s more like a personal diary. But still there’s risk of being hack, Server crush, lost everything. U’ll never know, it’s internet.

Years back Registering a Domain Name is already expensive, Let’s not talk about hosting a website. Recently I have also notice how Domain Name and Webhosting is getting Cheaper and affordable. Furthermore I has also come across an article that talks about Domain Name it says Domain Name are getting scarce everyday. It states that almost every two word domain you can think of that sound nice is own by someone. Lets not talk about one word ( Words that can be found in the dictionary ). So I decided to give it a try.

First I Begin to look around the internet to see which free blogger website is best. Well didn’t get much answer. Then I notice that my webhosting company offer wordpress free. After much searching it seems to me that it’s a full feature Professional Blog. So Here I was starting this blog. After some searching I found that it have thousands of theme for you to chose. Just by choosing the different theme I see till my eye pain. and Finally decided to settle for this one. Nice??
